This probably affects all versions, but I can only speak for the PC version. The stereo spatiality of all sound effects in the game -- that is, the concept of having things shown on the left side of the screen have their associated sounds emit from the left side of stereo speakers/headphones, and vice-versa -- is currently broken. Happily, I have done a bit of testing, and I have figured out what the game is doing here. Instead of the stereo split being a vertical line in the dead-center of the screen (based on the position of the controlled character), it is instead a DIAGONAL line, from the lower left to the upper right. So sounds originating on the left side of that imaginary line come primarily from the left speaker, and vice-versa. So for example a sound originating from top-center comes inexplicably out of the left speaker, and bottom-center comes out of the right speaker. Unless one knows exactly what is going on here, it is almost impossible to use stereo spatiality to, for example, help determine where Santa is when he's off-screen.
