Return of "Space Clouds or Fog"
An option, in the Steam version, of re-enabling the the moving "Space Clouds" or "Fog" that was seen in outer space during the first few months of the game's launch. It was a beautiful effect, and definitely made the PC version the definitive version, at least in my eyes. I originally purchased the Nintendo Switch version, but after I saw the effect in the Steam version, I never went back to the Switch version. Since it was removed from the Steam version (a year ago perhaps?), I have yet to return to the game. Please give us an option to re-enable it, many of us have PC's which can easily handle the effect. I had a GTX 1080 and never saw any slowdown.
"Ready, Aim, Tomatoes!" as a co-op/competitive minigame
I love obscure references. It would be cool to bring back "Ready, Aim, Tomatoes!" as a minigame similar to the hyperfunk zones. The minigame would reward the player the most that survives the longest. You are timed each round, have health, and the amount of tomatoes you have are limited like the original but it only lasts three (or four) rounds and gets harder as it goes on. You would have to get enough points to proceed to the next round and the last player standing would get the most xp, bucks or even a present (if they do well in the final round). If possible, I would also like to play it seperately with up to at least two or four people.
No Hot Dogs in Game
Title screen shows Earl eating a hot dog, but no hot dogs spawn in game. This is an outrage.
Add visual indicator of what "Change Present" changes a present into
Right now, when you change a present, the only way to know what it changed into is by having first memorized your inventory, and then rifling through it for something new. Best approach here is probably to both 1) force the inventory to land on the newly-created present, and 2) add text like "Changed to Fudge Sundae".
Customizable Random Mode
It would be great to be able to modify things like amounts of enemies, enemy types, shrubbery, present/rubbish ratio, etc.
Panic on Funkotron dances for Old Skool Toejam and Old Skool Earl
I feel like it was a missed opportunity to use the generic dance animations that Modern Toejam and Modern Earl use instead of the dances from Panic on Funkotron
Daily Run Mode
Same fixed map for everyone with recorded score / time for everyone to play
Notification when the level has a ship piece
on the original tj&e when you get to a level with a ship piece it would notify you on screen. in this new one it took me a few times to realize that there was a ship icon next to the level number indicating there is a piece on the map. is there a way to get that old school notification lettering back??
